Gavin received his Master’s Degree in Choral Music Conducting from USC, where he sang with the Chamber Singers and conducted the Apollo Men’s Chorus. He is the Assistant Conductor and Alive Music Project Coordinator for the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, organizing the youth outreach program that brings music and LGBT awareness, as well as anti-bullying messages to middle and high schools across Southern California. He also serves as Musical Director for the it gets better Tour, and directs Aftershock, GMCLA’s acapella group. Outside of GMCLA, Gavin has been adjunct faculty at the University of Redlands. He is excited to be joining the RUCC community again as Music Director.  Growing up in Redlands, Gavin attended RUCC as a covenanting member for years in high school and part of college, participating in youth group, choir, Art for Heaven’s Sake, and many other activities.  He found his spiritual home here, and this congregation has been an important part of his faith journey.
