Luke 6: 27 – 42 – Jill A. Kirchner-Rose, MDIV, DMIN – Last Sunday, Pastor Jill spoke about the importance of listening to one another with undivided attention, without judgment, and with a tender heart. This is much easier to do when we are listening to someone with whom we agree, enjoy and appreciate. How do we listen to our opponent, however? How do we listen with an open heart to the one who believes very differently than we do – politically, religiously, culturally, etc.? How can we develop a “holy curiosity” for those who understand our world differently?
