Art, for Heaven’s Sake! is a three-day annual art festival held in October on the beautiful grounds and gardens of the Redlands United Church of Christ. This premiere art festival of the Inland Empire features 60 plus artists representing a wide variety of media, including acrylics, photography, watercolor, oils, stained glass, jewelry, pottery, and metal sculpture. The Redlands United Church of Christ holds this event to support the arts and the community.
From the first festival and sale held in a private home and featuring five local artists, the festival has grown to accommodate over sixty artists. Although many selected artists are still local, over the years, the reputation of the festival has spread, resulting in submissions from artists from all over the Western states.
The art festival committee selects the best of the submissions and strives to include fine art representing a wide range of media. Admittance to the festival is free. A percentage of the art sales goes to the church. The proceeds have in the past been used to support church building projects, the church’s handbell choir, the Family Service Association, and Food for All, Youth Hope, and Get on the Bus.
