Luke 24: 13 – 35 – Rev. Sarah Averette-Phillips will be offering the sermon in our worship service. Sarah grew up at RUCC and her parents Barbie and Loring are still active members. Although she now serves as pastor at Brea UCC, she holds RUCC close to her heart and knows that this is the place that her faith and passion for ministry was formed. Her sermon will focus on the ways we share in covenant together: through the bread & cup, our membership at church, and in relationship with others. She will explore how the events on the road to Emmaus shaped the disciples’ ministry and can continue to shape us as Christians today. We will also share in World Communion with Christians all over the world.
