Mark 5: 1- 17 – Jill A. Kirchner-Rose, MDIV, DMIN – We continue with our sermon series, “I’ve Been Meaning to Ask.” This Sunday we will explore the question, “Where does it hurt?” When we gather with others, we are quick to wave and say hello, comment on the weather and make small talk. How often, however, do we go below the surface? How often do we encounter the same people, week after week, oblivious to the pain and hurt that they may be carrying? May we move to deeper connection believing that everyone carries hurt and we have the capacity to acknowledge the pain of others. May we commit to vulnerability and compassion.
